Shizen Shinpo
About the Instructor
He has studied qigong, yoga, tai chi, aikido, and other ancient Eastern martial arts that focus on the body's energy for many years. After studying yoga Zen under Sabata Tsuruji and teaching thousands of people, he had the good fortune to become a disciple of a Zen monk in the mountains, where he awakened to the depth and power of internal training. In pursuit of more natural martial arts techniques, he studied Chen-style Tai Chi Chuan and Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu. He studied Chen-style Tai Chi Chuan from Master Feng Zhiqiang, a tenth-generation disciple of Chen Shida, and Xinyi Qigong from Hu Yaozhen. He noticed the natural principles of the body common to traditional internal martial arts and named them Shizen Shinpo(Natural body movement). In 1985, he published "Hadō-kō," which spread nationwide as a form of qigong for interacting with nature. He is promoting a 21st century qigong method that involves communicating with the four directions of heaven and earth, training one's internal energy, and becoming one with the universe.
